Roll up, roll up. Tourism Awards launched at Hotel Miramar

The day the circus came town - with our entrance transformed into a circus tent to celebrate the launch of the 2012 Tourism Awards.

Now in its seventh year, the awards event celebrates the best of Bournemouth's thriving tourism industry.

This year's theme for the final ceremony is 'A Victorian Circus' - where hundreds of guests will gather to celebrate the resort.

Bournemouth’s director of tourism Mark Smith said: “The Tourism Awards launch was incredibly impressive and I was really pleased by the amount of businesses that attended in support of the town’s tourism industry.”

The borough’s marketing and events manager Jon Weaver said: “This year we will be having much more of an awards party atmosphere; an opportunity to celebrate the industry whether you are a winner or not."

Hotel Miramar will be entering the awards, and we will update you soon with our category entries, and of course ask for your supporting votes.

Hotel Director, David Bailey added, "We were delighted to host the launch of the awards here. As one of the few privately owned hotels still doing very well despite the economic climate, we believe that Bournemouth is a wonderful destination - and should be celebrated for all the town has to offer."
